Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) is a very gentle, natural approach with beneficial therapeutic effects. Craniosacral Fascial Therapy is the work of Dr. Barry Gillespie and is based on his theory that the Craniosacral and Fascial systems are not separate but one interconnected system. CFT blends two established modalities of Cranial Sacral Therapy by Dr. William Sutherland’s Cranial Sacral Therapy and John Barnes’ Myofascial release, along with the dental technique developed by Dr. Gillespie’s experience as a periodontist.

Infants who benefit greatly from CFT include:

  • Birth trauma

  • Tongue tie/lip tie (pre and post release)

  • Torticollis

  • Reflux

  • Colic

  • Inability to latch

  • Difficulty sucking

  • Difficulty swallowing

  • Constipation

  • Indigestion

  • Asymmetrical head shape

CFT is offered by Dr. Savannah under SLW Pediatrics LLC. Please contact her directly to schedule this service:

Early intervention is a program for children under three years of age who have developmental disabilities or other conditions associated with developmental delays. At Wise Little Movers- Physical Therapy, we work with your child in their natural environment (school, home, daycare) to promote development of crucial motor skills. We utilize a team approach to best meet your child's goals with providers including pediatricians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, interpreters and service coordinators. Research shows that children who receive services EARLIER, have the best potential for positive functional outcomes. If you are unsure whether your child may need therapy, reach out to us so we can help point you in the right direction!

Mother and Son

Research has shown that teletherapy is highly effective and can have similar results to in-person sessions. Pediatric telehealth therapy removes the barriers of remote locations, weather, compromised immunities and challenging family schedules hindering many children from receiving individualized one-on-one care.
When you receive telehealth physical therapy with Wise Little Movers, you can schedule an appointment without leaving your home. Parents can take a leading role in working with their children and assist them in reaching their goals. The opportunity to receive telehealth therapy without having to drive to a service area or office also saves time and allows for children to receive more regular therapy and reach their goals faster. Another benefit of teletherapy is the increased access to a highly specialized pediatric therapist, regardless of what part of Missouri or South Carolina you reside! As long as you’re living in Missouri or South Carolina, Wise Little Movers is able to work with you and your child.

Let us create your child an individualized program meant more for wellness and maintenance, rather than focusing on specific deficits or difficulties. Maybe your child has plateaued with progress, or maybe it's summer break and your child wants a break from "therapy" as well.
